If you’re unsure which service to choose or would like to discuss your hair before booking, you’re welcome to get in touch. Slinky Hairdressing is a one-on-one studio, with every appointment handled personally from start to finish. If I’m with a client I may not be able to respond immediately, but I’ll reply as soon as possible. For appointments, the fastest way to secure a time is via the online booking system. Easy to reach from across the Yarra Valley and areas near Lilydale.

Is there parking available?
Yes. There is a dedicated on-site carpark. Look for the driveway to the left of the building next to Interchange Outer East, drive up the small lane and the carpark is at the top.
How long does a typical appointment take?
A wash, cut and blow-dry generally takes around 60 minutes. A full colour or balayage appointment including cut and blow-dry typically takes 2–3 hours depending on your hair's length and density.
What products do you recommend?
We love new technology and are always on the hunt for the latest and best haircare available. The products we use and recommend are chosen because they genuinely perform. At the end of your appointment I'll walk you through exactly what will make a difference for your specific hair — whether that's a colour-safe shampoo and conditioner, a heat protectant, a gloss treatment to use at home, or a styling product to help you recreate your finish between visits. We only suggest products we use ourselves and believe in. If nothing feels relevant to your hair right now, we'll say so.
How far in advance should I book?
For haircuts, 2–3 weeks ahead. For colour and combined visits, 3–4 weeks is ideal. If you need something sooner, get in touch — there are occasional short-notice openings.
What colour services do you offer?

Can I bring an inspiration image?
When attending with an inspiration image, please consider: does it reflect your natural texture and density — fine, medium, thick, straight, wavy, or curly? Most professional images involve extensive styling, product, and lighting. Maintaining.results requires commitment to home care and products. We ask that you arrive open to professional guidance and willing to adapt. Results are always guided by your unique hair. Please be aware that where an inspiration image is not suited to your natural hair texture and characteristics, we may be unable to proceed with the requested service. Your hair's integrity is always our priority.
